We are excited to introduce you to BIG IDEA summer camp in Israel.
This is the best summer your child will ever have. That’s how thousands of our alumni describe their fun times here.
Teens, children & families from all over the world travel to BIG IDEA and become a part of the vibrant community, which keeps on growing even after 8 summers. When we ask our campers after the summer if they plan to return, 96% of them say, “Oh Yeah!”. The variety of technologies, designs, creativity and innovations are just a part of the BIG fun and the amazing activities. A true friendship with an Israeli peer – that’s another great value.
Your search is over. Your way to an amazing summer in Israel starts here! See you soon…
We select only excellent counselors! Our staff members are from Israel and many other countries around the world. The counselors lead the tech and media workshops during the day and the social age groups in the afternoon and evening. We have a great ratio of 1 staff member for every 5 campers, so we can give each and every child personal attention and a meaningful experience.
All our counselors are 18 years old or older. Our staff members are college students or graduates and alumni of tech units in the IDF that come from Israel and abroad. They have a rich experience working with kids and teens at summer camps and other educational programs. Our staff goes through a long and detailed recruitment and orientation process.
In addition to our amazing counselors, you’ll meet the unit heads, who are responsible for the educational programs, our tech team, that supervises the workshops and the computer network, the camp medic, logistics team, and the documentation team that takes photos and videos at camp everyday, so the parents can stay in touch and feel the excitement!

In BIG IDEA we do not sit in front of the computer screen all day long.
This is why we created a well balanced program which includes “Unplugged” time – outdoor activities like sports, swimming pool, arts and crafts and more. Play soccer, basketball, ping-pong or just relax on the beautiful green lawns – you choose what you want to do during Unplugged!
“Feel the Breeze” – the evening activities are full of fun surprises: Every night there are different social activities according to the age group with competitions and a lot of spirit. The international summer camp is a great way to get to make new friends from other countries, and that is the main goal of the evening programs. Other evening includes special presentations of Israeli start-ups and innovative technologies that will inspire you.
Do you like to party and have fun? great! There are many dance parties, pool party with BBQ dinner, LAN party with game consoles and giant screens and even an international talent show, where each camper can go on stage and perform.
Join us for an amazing summer with parties, competitions, pool and sports. #Action!
Come and meet teens from Jewish communities from all around the world! Every year, half of our campers come to Israel in the summer just to have an amazing experience in BIG IDEA! You’ll be with them at the dorms, hang out with them at the pool and go with them to the workshops. Two weeks later you will find out you met really good friends from many different countries.
The camp runs in English, but will still give you a great opportunity to improve your Hebrew alongside your new Israeli friends.
This summer, campers from over 30 countries will take part in the BIG IDEA summer camp: Israel, USA, France, Spain, Italy, England, Canada, Germany, Peru, China, Norway, Turkey, Argentina and many more…
DISCOVER THE START-UP NATION
Everyone already knows about the success story of the Israeli hi-tech industry. It’s time to get to know it from up close! We hold fascinating tours in the most advanced technology centers in Israel and meet up with start-up entrepreneurs that will come to camp to tell about their personal success stories and of their unique developments.
There is no better place to get that Jewish summer camp atmosphere than in a summer camp in Israel. We have created an open environment based on mutual respect, where kids and teens from every sect can feel comfortable.
Our Shabbat service starts on Friday afternoon (before sundown) with a pluralistic service, includes new songs and old prayers. After the camp-wide service, we offer an option of an Orthodox service at the synagogue we have on Campus. Our religious counselors and campers are leading the prayers.
All the food at camp is Kosher, under the supervision of the Local Rabbinical Association.
COMMUNICATION WITH THE PARENTS
Sleeping away from home for 2 weeks in a camp in Israel is always a special experience. During the summer, campers keep in touch with their parents and update them about their experiences and the fun they’re having in camp. Every day we post photos and videos from camp on our Facebook page and the office staff is always available for any of your questions. Our office staff will also update you about the special time in the daily schedule the campers will have to contact home.
