For the past 12 years, BIG IDEA has been creating meaningful experiences for kids and teens, mixing technology, digital arts, Israel programs and social bonding.

Our team strives to positively affect children’s lives through innovative methods of informal education. We proudly serve families from all backgrounds in Israel, the Jewish diaspora, and others.

BIG IDEA’s US headquarters are located in New York City. Our USA team is supported by a large content development and programming team located in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Roni Livnat - Director of North America Operations
Roni has been running BIG IDEA day camps in Israel and the U.S. since 2014. Roni comes from the world of informal education and Jewish communities. At her last position as the Jewish Agency Shlicha in Australia, Roni directed the camps of a local youth movement. She now resides in New York City.
Dotan Tamir - Founder & CEO
A tech education enthusiast who started coding himself when he was 9 years old. Dotan served in a special tech unit in the IDF and worked for an Israeli startup. Dotan worked for several years at summer camps in the US and in 2007, founded the international technology summer camp in Israel, which was the root of all the flagship programs BIG IDEA offers today and founded in 2008. Worked at American sleep away camps. Previously served in a special tech unit in the IDF and worked in an Israel start-up.
Erez Roll - Chairman
Board member in many non-profit youth development organizations such as “Variety”, "Jordan River Village"(SeriousFun), and "Bialik Rogozin Campus". In 1986, Erez founded “Lafayette”, licensor of most popular kids and teen brands in the Israeli market. In 2003, he founded the first Summer Camp in Israel for Jewish teens from around the world (Kimama).
