Meet The Israeli camp counselors for BIG IDEA @ the JCC
This is going to be a VERY Israeli summer at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades – a record number of Shlichim (Israeli counselors) are coming to lead workshops at BIG IDEA camp. The shlichim already started planning amazing programs for camp, new Israeli activities and songs as well as cutting edge tech workshops.

Meet Ofek Gabay Golan,
25 years old from Modiin.
This summer: I will be a program director.
What am I bringing with me to camp? Kookoo the monkey. I’ll also bring myself, Israel, innovation, great thinking, and original points of view.
What am I most excited about? So many things! I’m especially excited to meet all the amazing campers, shlichim and madrichim at BIG IDEA Israeli summer camp.
Meet Danielle Kern Iacob,
From Jerusalem.
My Workshops: Drone Labs, Fashion Design, and 3D Jewelry Design.
What am I bringing with me to camp? My Israeli spirit! I I was a counselor at BIG IDEA summer camp in Israel and I can’t wait to bring that amazing vibe to Tenafly.
What am I most excited about? Getting to know the kids. I’m excited to learn from them as well as to teach them.

21 years old from Jerusalem.
My Workshops: Photography, Graphic Design, and Video Editing.
What am I bringing with me to camp? My Israeli and zionist parts so that I can share with them with the kids and with the community.
What am I most excited about? Meeting new friends and creating new experiences! I’m also excited to share my knowledge with others.

What am I bringing with me to camp? My Israeli culture and life.
What am I most excited about?To have fun! I’m excited to come to the US and to see the american culture and lifestyle. I’m also excited to meet the kids and show them some of my Israeli culture.

This summer: I will be an Outdoor and Scouting Counselor
What am I most excited about?To meet the kids, to instruct in another language that is not hebrew, and to get to know the culture in New Jersey.

From Mashhad.
My Workshops: Programming, Lego Robotics, and Cyber.
What am I bringing with me to camp? The Israeli culture and the way we deal with things, teach, and learn. I will also be bringing Israeli songs and language.
What am I most excited about?To work with the kids and to teach them new subjects that will open many doors for them.

21 years old from Or Yehuda.
My Workshops: Theatre and Hip-Hop.
What am I bringing with me to camp? The Israeli spirit and a lot of energy!
What am I most excited about?To meet the campers, to have fun, and to be exposed to a lot of new things.
